Question 1

Is the builder free?

Accepted Answer

Not on its own. It is included at no extra charge on every Cloud plan — the sense in which the rest of this site calls it free, the same as free SSL — and Cloud starts at $1.57/mo exclusive of GST. There is no separate builder fee on top of that, and no free tier without hosting.

Question 2

Do I need to know how to code?

Accepted Answer

No. You describe the business in plain language and the builder produces the pages, the copy and the layout. Where code becomes an option rather than a requirement is afterwards: what you get is an ordinary WordPress site, so a developer can pick it up later without anything being migrated first.

Question 3

Is this a drag-and-drop builder?

Accepted Answer

Not in the usual sense, and it is worth being clear about the difference. You do not start from a blank canvas and place blocks on it — you describe what the business does and get a finished site back, then change what you want to change. If dragging blocks around is specifically what you are after, the WordPress editor you get afterwards does that; the builder itself is the step before it.

Question 4

Which layouts can it produce?

Accepted Answer

Four: business, ecommerce, portfolio and landing. A landing layout is the single-page version. Most trades, clinics, restaurants and agencies come out of the business layout — there is no per-industry template beyond those four, and the difference between one business site and another is the description you give it rather than a separate design.

Question 5

Where is the finished site hosted?

Accepted Answer

On your own Cloud account, in Mumbai. That matters for how quickly the site answers a visitor in an Indian city, and it means the invoice carries a GSTIN. There is no separate builder host to move off later.

Question 6

What happens if I outgrow it?

Accepted Answer

Nothing has to move. What it generates is a WordPress site on your own Cloud account, so you keep editing it in WordPress, hand it to a developer, or ask our team to take it further.

Question 7

It is marked Beta — what does that mean here?

Accepted Answer

That the builder is still changing and the copy it writes is a first draft rather than finished text. The hosting underneath it is not beta; it is the same Cloud platform every Cloud plan runs on.
